African-American Barbie's Get an Extreme Makeover

Never would of imagined that a line of Barbie Dolls would reflect the realistic images of ethnic beauty. Not too long ago, African-American girls did not have dolls that showed their true beauty that they could identify with to uplift their self-esteem, pride and confidence in who they are. Images of African-American beauty was not shown on TV commercials or in the media.

It's just recently that there is an explosion of natural hair products in the beauty stores and pharmacies that ethnic women can purchase to grow and nurture their hair. We are now experiencing more realistic images which will have a positive psychological effect on the lives of our children and how they view themselves.
