The Benefits of Scalp Massages
I wanted to share the benefits of a daily scalp massage. It is a great way to stimulate blood flow to the scalp and hair follicles that promote hair growth. You do not need to add oils or hair products prior to the massage. In fact, I think it's best if you just allow your natural oils to penetrate your scalp. It is also a great way to release stress and tension. It is extremely soothing and you tend to sleep better once you receive a scalp or temple massage.
If you desire, you can add essential oils to the scalp massage. Vitamin E, coconut, almond, grape seed or olive oil works well in supplying hair strands the necessary oils needed to promote healthy hair. These are light oils that absorb into the hair and scalp like melted butter.
If you have scalp pimples, it helps to add a little tea tree oil to the scalp on a regular basis to heal the scalp. It’s best to dilute tea tree oil with water or another natural oil because it is very strong by itself, but it works well to cleanse and heal the scalp area.
It also important to make sure you are drinking lots of water which also aids in promoting hair growth. Not only for our hair but our overall health. Water is vital to our health and should not be overlooked.
Don't neglect your scalp, which may possibly be the source of some hair problem. Pay attention to what your scalp may be communicating....dryness, itchiness, clogged pores, dandruff, etc. Your scalp may just be calling for more attention. It’s also important to keep the scalp cleansed on a regular basis. Clogged pores affect hair growth. After maintaining your hair, a daily or weekly scalp massage may just be all it needs!
